Cant put .ZIP files on tab

Trying to root my tab 10.1 wifi but when i plug it into my pc it won't let me paste the .zip files onto the sd card. any thoughts on this or a solution?

Have you got all the up to date drivers on your PC?

As far as i know they are up to date, is there a way i can check?

Go to the Samsiung website and download the latest........when you connect your Tab is it visible on the PC as a piece of hardware, can you explor the Tab's files system when attached?

Also make sure USB Debugging is not checked
