Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Kies just refuses to connect. I've spent 8 horus ( no exaggeration) with Samsung on this and it just won't work
I am on ICS (got it OTA) but would like to switch to cyanogenmod.
Ok.
Surprised you can't connect to Kies with ICS.
On HC 3.2, the trick was to do a factory reset, then Kies would work.
After the update to ICS, Kies works fine (for me, and others have posted the same).
Anyway, to get the Cyanogenmod, you need to flash it with Odin, not Kies.
There are numerous threads on the XDA forum for that rom, and how to do it.
It looks pretty easy. I've never flashed a custom rom, but I have flashed custom
recovery and the official update for ICS using Odin.
If you should need the correct files for custom recovery (CWM 5.5.0.4) and for
root (SuperSU), I have both in my Drop Box. CWM 5.5.0.4 is the one to use to
prevent what's called "rolling recovery".
These are for the 7510 tab, wifi only. Post if you need them.
