My friend's Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 keeps bringing up an invisible app (for lack of better words) that is confusing when it occurs. It looks like the screen dims, and freezes. Yet, the bottom controls (back, home, etc.) all continue to work just fine.
Through trial and error, I found it happens when the tablet is checking for software updates. When it does this in the background, or as shown, manually, you suddenly can't do anything.
Very annoying. It's been rebooted, as well as Google Services' cache cleared.
Anyone seen this before and know how I could possibly solve this issue without a hard reset?
The unit is running 4.0.4 if memory serves me correct. It's not yet on Jelly Bean.
