Why won't my Samsung Tab 2 10.1 charge?

samsung tab 2 10.1 will not charge AT ALL please help

So my tablet has been dead for 2 weeks because I had to replace the charger cord. Got the cord today shows no sign of life. I took the back off and unplugged the battery from the motherboard for a couple minutes then tried again and nothing, my wall plug is a samsung 2 volt. And the cord is a samsung tab cord. im not sure how to get it just enough juice to recognize that its charging. I tried holding down buttons unplugging then replugging different outlets...im out of ideas.....help please

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, if the battery has been dead for that long, it may have completely discharged to true zero, which is death for a battery. You might have to replace the battery.
