Why won't my Galaxy Tab 10.1 turn off (it is fully charged)?

why wont my galaxy tab 10.1 turn off. it is fully charged.

it is permanently showing Samsung logo but can't either switch off or progress to internet.

Welcome to Android Central! Try forcing a shutdown by pressing and holding Power for 10-20 seconds. Then wait 10 seconds, and then power on again. Does the same thing happen?
