keep getting low memory and space message on my tablet

i keep getting low memory and storage space on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 but i added a 16 gig sd card why am i getting this message i know the internal memory is full but i have plenty on the external card left?????

Basically, not a lot goes onto your SDHC card unless you move it there.

I use Amazon MP3, and it was quickly filling up my space, so I used ES File Manager and moved the MP3 files to /mnt/ExtSDCard (I am not sure of the capitalization, but the external SD Card).

Now, I have plenty of space. Not all apps can handle the movement of the data... for example, my GPS program won't see the map files if I move them to the external SD Card.

Little Darwin is correct. You need to delete or move your media files to the external card. ES File Manager is good for this and you can install its' companion ES Task Manager to cleaned up cached files.
