Hello,

I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. A few days ago the battery stopped charging. I have tried holding down the power button + volume buttons for 30 seconds but every time I restarted it different charge percentages showed. It would fluctuate 20% over different restarts. I tried with the charger both plugged in and not plugged in.

With the fluctuating charge I figured the calibration was off so I let the device run to complete dead battery and left it charging while turned off for an entire day. When I turned it back on it showed 100% charge and I used it over the course of a day. Now, however, it will not charge AT ALL. After 5 hours of charging while turned off, it still remains at 57%, though after another restart it just now showed 78%. I restarted it again and it dropped back to 57%.

I appreciate any recommendations! Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be failing, which wouldn't be that surprising for a 3+ year-old device. You might have to get the battery replaced, if you want to keep using that device.
