Stuck in Samsung Galaxy Kids Mode on Tab 3 Lite

Help,

I set up this tablet, I didn't even know there was a kids mode and when I clicked the Icon it didn't ask me to set it up and now it is stuck there. I followed a suggestion to turn off. Turn on with holding the power button and the up volume button but nothing happened. I've tried 3 times and it still comes back in kids mode. This tablet is now useless, my 2 year old will get bored of only 4 choices and my husband can no long use it. Help!
