Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 connected to wifi but no internet

You are amazing! My date was set back to 2012 for some reason. I fixed it, and voila! I'm back on the internet. That is a strange bug that needs fixing. Thanks again!
 
Hi I brought the samsung galaxy tab 3 for my son for christmas, I'm having the same problem
I got it from Argos. Should I take it back to the shop. ??? Thanks.
 
thanks ,you was rigth,just I saw the date and time was changed..I changed ,it become to work..thanks

just look the time and date in the setting ..

Hey guys I was having the same problem and I found the solution in this site.

Here are the step to do:
First to go wifi settings. Tap and HOLD the wifi connection and select Forget [this network]
Go to Settings

Select Apps-> ALL

Select Network Locations and Clear Data

Go back to ALL and select Google Services Framework

Select Clear Data.

Turn your device off and back on.

It worked for me. Hope for as well. :)
 
My tab worked fine for a month then 4 days ago my wi fi said it was connected, everything else in my house worked, but I couldnt connect to anything online. I checked the date&time, it said jan 1st 2011 for whatever reason, I changed it back and my wi fi worked right away. Now when I leave the house I have to turned off my wi fi or it reset again but it works everytime I reset the date. Hope it helps.

Great! It just happened to my tab3 today and then I looked at the date&time sure enough said Jan 1 2011 , change the date and time correctly and it fixed it right away thanks go the help
 
So glad I found this vine, saved me from returning my daughters s3. I hadn't paid any attention to the date and time on it, after everything else I tried that worked. Thanks so much for your posts!!! So relieved now!
 
Hi, I am using samsung galaxy tab 7.7, it used to be able to detect, connect wifi and with internet connection. But suddenly, It is only able to detect and connect to the wifi router but with NO internet connection when internet applications is use.

However, when I use my samsung S3 as a portable hotspot. It works perfectly fine.

Btw I have tried all method that is mentioned here, but it doesn't seems to work.

Would it because of different model?

Anyone can advise me how to solve this issue?
 
I changed the date and time, and all of a sudden it worked again. I had about three dozen updates and notifications after that. Thanks a bunch. :)
 
Ok people, this was the most annoying bu i have experienced with Samsung. Somehow my date and time was set to two years ago and for some reason that was messing up my online status.

I changed the date to the current time and within seconds stated receiving messages. Restarted my Tab and the problem was fixed.

Resetting the time and date will help with much of the connectivity issues. Sometimes a reset or update will change the time invalidating security certificates. Try that easy fix before resetting everything!
 
hi there, had exactly the same problem with galaxy tab 2 and galaxy s4 and galaxy y.
unplug any ethernet lan cables from your router.
switch off your tablet or device and back on - should connect to wifi and work with internet.
plug in your ethernet cables

I had this exact problem! I came on here to try to see how to fix it, but couldn't find a way. When I was looking at my tablet I noticed that the time and date had reset itself. Once I had set it to the correct date and time everything worked fine!

I have the same problem on my sons Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. Full WIFI, no internet. The date in left corner set to 14 Januar 2014 on the parents/standard screen. The date on Kids' start screen is correct, though. And the date in settings is correct. How do I change the date on the parents standard screen if not in settings?

Will I keep the kids' screen, if I upgrade the firmware with KIES?
 
Yes - I got the internet connection back by clicking the fabric condition! Thanks for that advice!
If the problem appears again, first thing I will try, is clearing the cache/data, as you suggest..(i noticed your advice to late), because I lost all of my sons apps by choosing 'fabric condition'.
Thank you all for your advice, I was really annoyed untill solving this problem.....
 
My wifi is working but when I tried to tap an app it says "Not Connected To A Network....Retry?" I checked the settings, everything was fine. I disconnected it from the wifi and reconnected it a few times, still not working....waited 5 minutes, it started updating my apps and now everything works...weird and worrying. Let me know if any of you get the same issue
