Any difference between a 32 Mbs and a 45 MBs card in the Tab 3 8.0?

Hey guys...

I have a Tab 3 8.0 --- is there any point in buying a microSD card that is 45 Mb/s vs a 30 MB/s card? Is there any noticeable difference? Can the tablet even take advantage of these speeds?

Thanks!

No, your tablet isn't capable of extracting anything near those speeds from the card. You'll likely see between 7MB/s and 16MB/s writes with between 14MB/s and 20MB/s reads. If there is a significant cost difference go with the more economical card. My advice would be to make sure its NOT a Sandisk Ultra card (just choose another brand, trust us on that, Sandisk Ultra cards in Samsung devices are hit or miss, much more so than other brands) and make sure it IS a class 10 card.

Thanks. That helps a lot. Amazon was selling 64GB cards from Sandisk and Transcend for $35.. I went with the latter. Based on your advice, I made the right choice.
