syncing samsung account on galaxy tab 3

Has anyone seen where you cannot sync Samsung Account on Galaxy Tab 3? I am signed into my account on both my galaxy s3 and my tab 3 but the sync option on the tablet is greyed out and my calendars and other applications will not sync between the two devices.
