Default Controlling really loud chime, indicating speech recognition processing

When I use the speech recognition, there's this really loud, indiscreet, echoing chime. Is there any way to control that? Lower the volume? Change the sound? Anything? For some reason the main volume control doesn't affect it.

I think you can lower the system volume to control that , but not sure. Settings sound system volume or something like that.

Well, as I just discovered, there's a setting in Settings>Sound>Volume that lowers the System volume. Unfortunately, that'll lower the volume for all systems sounds when I'd rather just customize this one sound. I guess that's not possible
