Installed software but icon missing from Galaxy Tab 3

Please excuse me if I'm overlooking something really simple, but I just installed Firefox on a Tab 3. There is no sign of the icon anywhere on any of the screens, nor any trace of it after touching 'Apps.' Likewise with K9. Just installed it - but no sign of it. Any help or suggestions welcome. Newbie at tablets, here.

Yeah try a reboot and see if they're there.

Are these installed from Google Play? Doesn't sound like they actually installed on your Tab 3 (what?)
Reset and see if they show up, if not then install again.

Thanks for your replies. Yes a reboot did it, and the icon and Firefox is there now. I'm now having trouble syncing Firefox with my bookmarks. Can I ask for help here or do you want me to open another thread / topic?
