Tab3 sync "on" for my Samsung account

How do I turn sync on for my Samsung account? All my other accounts are fine. I have it turned on on my S5 but cannot figure out how to turn it on in the Tab3

1. onfigure your Google account settings on Tablet to sync data from the Gmail account:
   • To do this, tap "Applications" on your Samsung Galaxy Tablet;
   • Select "Settings" and choose "Accounts and sync";
   • Select your Gmail account from the e-mail account setup;
   • Under your Gmail account, select what to sync: “Sync Contacts” or “Sync Calendar”;
   • Click “Sync Now”.

What you outlined works for all accounts except my Samsung account. Don't know why.
