Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T310 mirroring problem to Samsung HDTV

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 with JellyBean 4.2.2 off of ebay to screen mirror to my 65" Samsung HDTV. The screen mirroring was working great until I did an update to KitKat 4.4.2. Now it tries to connect but times out after a few seconds. Apparently I cant go back to 4.2.2. I tried installing the Samsung 4.3 screen mirroring patch but its not supported on my device. Any ideas how to get it working with 4.4.2?

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T310 mirroring problem to Samsung HDTV

I'm using my Tab 3 8.0 with Kit Kat 4.4.2 and I can mirror the tablet to the tv without issues.
Not sure what steps your'e using to initiate the screen mirroring, but on mine:
I turn on the tv
Click" Menu", on the remote
Go down to "Network"
Arrow Right
Arrow Down to "Allshare Settings"
Click OK
Go down to "Screen Mirroring"
Click OK
You will get a screen telling you that it is waiting for a device.

On the tablet, pull down the Notification bar and tap "Screen Mirroring" (you may have to scroll to the left to find it)
They will connect.
In Portrait your tablet will be in the center of the screen
In Landscape, it will fill the screen.
Keep in mind that the tablet screen has to be on the whole time you are mirroring.

This works on my Samsung Smart TV, it may be different on yours.
