Having a problem with the date and time

Hi everybody,
My son dropped his tab 3 on the Eiffel Tower and cracked the screen. After watching a video on YouTube I have been able to open the tab up and replace the screen. Having put it back together, every thing is working fine. All apps are working and the tab will charge up and switch on and off. One problem remains, when I power it down and switch off the date and time is defaulting to the 1/1/2012 midnight. This happens after resetting date and time in settings. Can anyone help?

If it's Tab 3 7.0, press Power button more than 15 seconds will initialize the date and time after reboot. It's setting by Samsung, nothing you can change about it. To avoid initialization of Date and Time, don't press power button too long and it's not necessary.
