7+ and microSD card being read-only

I've noticed with the new GT 7+, that the external SD card isn't mounted in the "typical" location that other tablet's seem to use, but instead in /mnt/sdcard/ExtStorages/sdcard. It may be related, but there appears to be a problem with most file managers (including astro file manager and the file manager by rhythm) where the external sdcard directory (and everything within) is being flagged as read-only.

So far, the only thing I've been able to use to write to an inserted SD card has been the "My files" application pre-loaded on the tablet.

Is there any way to use a better file manager?

Thanks
Gary

I had the same issue on my Asus transformer. I think this is a honeycomb issue.

I'm hoping ice cream sandwich fixes this.

I think that the reason for that is because Google doesn't want anyone to happen to get the source code for Honeycomb due to their adamant refusal to allow people to make Honeycomb ROMs for phones.
