Why can't I pair my bluetooth keyboard case with my tablet?

I have a Samsung galaxy tab a 9.7 and went and bought a case with a keyboard that connects through bluetooth. The case is a type-s. When I turn the bluetooth on it can discover the case but when it goes to pair it I have to type a code in but the keyboard doesnt work so I can't type. The screen keyboard won't come up either.

I have the same keyboard. I finally figured it out. You need to type the code right on the case keyboard. The screen keyboard WON'T show up.
