Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7

I have just got the above mentioned tablet by it is so far a bad experience.

If i hit the Ctrl button, it automatically highlights A,Z,X,C,V,Y buttons. It is a new tablet and i was wondering if this is a fault as am about calling EE to have this changed. Any advise will be appreciated

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about the onscreen keyboard, or a physical Bluetooth keyboard? If the latter, is it a Samsung keyboard, or from a 3rd party?

Its the onscreen samsung keyboard that's doing this.my galaxy tab s2 does this also with the stock samsung onboard keyboard so there's no fault with your new tablet.

Oh I see. Is it highlighting those letters because those are the ones you can combine with the Ctrl key?

Not sure what the reasoning is because I hit control and tap one of those letters and nothing happens.

This might shed some light: Can I use Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V and other shortcuts on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S like I would on a PC?

Nothing was happening when you did it probably because it was in the wrong context.
