Why do some movies play and some don't on my Samsung Tab Pro 10.1?

Some movies play and some don't on samsung Tab Pro 10.1

Hi, I have put five movies on my msd card of which I just dragged n dropped on to card they play ok
Then for some unknown reason my other movies would not play. There is plenty of memory left on sd card.

I have followed a tutorial on pavtube video converter, for some unknown reason ( of which I hope you will put me right ) when my movie file has been converted and sent to my output file ie micro card it will not play on my Samsung tab pro 10.
The movie is there but its empty. Am I missing something here??

Welcome to Android Central! The files might have become corrupted on the SD card. Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage​), remove it, and put it into the computer's reader. Can you play the movies there?

Try using VLC to play movies, it can play almost anything. But it's easy to get the wrong thing, there's a lot of copycats out there.
