Default Fonts and some apps way too small

Can anyone advise me as to why some widgets like weather bug and apps like Wikipedia are way too small? Can't read Wikipedia because fonts are tiny and my weather bug widget is so small on my screen that even resizing it with my apex launcher is impossible.
    Anyone else having this problem?

It's due to incompatible apps and the higher resolution of the tablet. Sometimes the buttons are oversized (in apps), and sometimes it's the reverse, where the text is not optimized for the screen's resolution so it appears smaller.

Having just read this post I have just now installed Wikipedia for tablets on my pro 8.4. The latest version is designed for KitKat and there is no issue with font size at all. In fact in the settings you can set the font for whatever you want. Thanks for the post, it never occurred to me that there would be a Wikipedia for Android app!
