I've been in the market for a new tablet after my Nexus 7 passed a few months ago. I was looking for something <=$300 and I noticed that the Tap Pro 8.4 is still selling for $200 at Best Buy. I really don't like Samsung's software and I think it would be easy enough to put Cyanogenmod 12 (snapshot) on it. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone done the same?

I'm not sure you can without putting some important files at risk. When you try to get rid of TouchWiz, you might accedentally delve too deep and hit android software instead. Wouldn't recommend doing it unless you know what you're doing. I know I'm not going to do it on my s5.
