I got this update earlier today as well. So far, I don't see or sense anything different in the operation of the tablet, though.

What a pleasant surprise! Shows Samsung is stepping up their game in regards to software updates. It's downloading in the background now and I'll post later with anything I notice

I just downloaded the update and haven't found any big changes yet either. Pretty sure its just bug fixes and small performance tweaks, I looked around for a change log but couldn't find anything

Build number changed to T800XXU1BOE2 as well... If you want to check to see if you're at the newest version

wow! just downloaded and allowed it to update.

the tablet now feels much lighter and runs faster.
(about 0.001 second faster when opening apps)

battery life has also improved by about 2 seconds.

:)

I don't know which one I hate more: Samsung
not updating tablets... or Samsung updating
tablets without telling us what the updates are
supposed to do. :)

It may be placebo but the standby battery time seems improved. Maybe a slight improvement to performance, but hard to notice.

Got 5.0.2 yesterday finally in the UK, installed nervously after battery drain reports. Seems good so far, battery drain very good as before. I cleared the cache partiton, but otherwise as was. Seems generally a bit snappier. I don't like the white Settings UI, the black looked better, and of course used less power. All these acres of white burn it up with AMOLED. I don't seem to be getting and notifications on the lock screen, but they appear to be turned on.

I got the update to lollipop yesterday also. Had to update quite a few applications afterwards. Benchmark score on Antutu has increased so it seems the new OS is faster.
