Lookout scan

The tab S I bought recently has Lookout on it. I have not activated it but every day it says it scanned 286 apps and all is okay. Well, I don't have that many apps and also wanted to know if I need this in the background. It will also let me know if all is well when I do download an app.

You don't really need it, so it's safe to disable the app. But you probably need to turn the Active Scan first. Just open the app and disable all scans.

Unless you are in the habit of downloading apps from unknown sources or shady ones, then you should be OK.
