When I push the power button on my Galaxy S tablet nothing happens

I also cannot charge it. It has enough charge to open but won't. Please help. Thank You

Try to hold the power button down for 10 seconds, that should reset it.

The power switch could be bad. It may not actually have enough power to turn on. There may be something wrong on the motherboard.

If it doesn't turn on after holding the power button down for 30 seconds, it's not going to, and has to go to a repair shop.
