Power Button Issues

It takes me about 4 or 5 attempts to get my S2 to power on when I press the power button. I am pressing the button solidly/firmly and holding it down for at least a second but more often than not, it takes a few goes before the tab will turn on. My other Samsung tabs or phones have all powered up easily on first attempt. The button isn't sticking or anything; it is just completely unresponsive at times. No problrns with powering off. Is this normal for the S2?

I have the S2 9.7 and I noticed a similar issue. It powers up fine but waking up seems to be the problem. I have the samsung cover case and I noticed in the past week or so that when I open the case it's not coming on automatically. It may be something in a recent update since a month ago it worked as it should.
