Anyone else using the Galaxy Tab S2 with Netflix or Hulu plus subscription and getting awful resolution(480p max, I believe)? Is this an app or support issue? Not finding much on the issue....

Are you using it on T-Mobile? If so, BingeON might be causing it.

I'm using it on a Tab S 1st gen without issues. HD on both apps.

No, using U-verse at 22 mpbs DL. It is a sprint device, however. Just read about the BingeOn issue.

On Netflix I believe you can 'force' the video quality in your profile settings, but I think you need to use a computer for that (or desktop mode on a mobile browser). Are you just using it over WiFi or does it happen on both mobile data and WiFi?

No S2 variant is on the Netflix approved HD playback device list. It's all playing in SD, 480p. You can try this video to see what I mean, the timestamp updates to show what resolution and bitrate is playing at any given time:

http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/70136810

My Droid Turbo and Nexus 7 2013 report 1920x1080 with a bitrate over 5000. S2 only ever shows 720x480 and 1750 bitrate :/

I can't get it to play on my Tab S 8.4. I only have firefox for a browser and it says I need HTML5 and/or Silverlight.

My iPad plays it fine...

I can't even get netflix to play anyour videos on mine. Anything I select just sits at black loading screen with spinning circle... any suggestions? Could it be because I'm running optimalrom and kernel? I think it worked before...
