stock email app

Got myself a replacement tab S2 to replace the one I broke . I'm trying to set up my email on the stock Samsung email app and having some issues. When I type in my email address and password for my Hotmail account ... I get a pop-up window saying "checking incoming server setting...

And it just hangs there ... anyone have any ideas how to fix this ?

BTW I downloaded the outlook app and I was able to login just fine .

Naw sry. Never liked the stock app. I use Google email app. Works with my school outlook email.
