My Samsung Galaxy tablet screen has frozen, how can I fix it?

It started up but nothing came in eg Facebook, emails, games updates etc. I cannot turn it off either. Grateful for sensible solutions! kind regards, Margaret

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet is it? When you started it, did you see the welcome logo? What screen is it stuck on now?

If you actually see something on the screen and it's frozen, you can force a power down by pressing and holding Power for about 15-20 seconds.
