I'm not too good with voip calling solutions. I'm going to get the Sprint Tab with a 2GB plan. Is Skypein/out with an Online Number an adequate substitute for a calling plan? I also need to know with Skype in/out if the app closes when you pick up a call where I have to reopen Skype to be able to get calls.

I don't think you can use Skype with the Tab just yet. If I am wrong, I hope somebody corrects me because I also would love to use it -- especially video Skype.

skype w/ video is not out yet, but it should be soon as skype just bought qik about a week ago. You should be able to use the phone service.

I use Skype on my Tab all the time for regular calling - can't wait for video next, but the call quality is great. I bought a Skype number (at half price) and the $2.99 a month unlimited calling plan. The only thing that I find annoying about Skype is that it signs you out constantly, so receiving a call on the Tab is not as easy as placing one.

I am hoping they get it done soon. I am sure they were working on it right beside the iOS version. I love skype and use it a lot to video call my family back east.

Is your tab with Sprint or amother carrier?

I use Skype for audio calls to other Skype users but there is no Video. I called myself from my PC with Video but only Audio came through. I have Sprint.
