Getting Honeycomb on Galaxy Tab

Has there been anything created yet for the galaxy tab that is close to honeycomb or better yet, Is there any way of getting honeycomb on it? This is a selling point for me.

nothing yet. there are was an article on the home page that stated people in Italy were recveing gingerbread on their tabs. Since samsung has released the 10.1" tab... i doubt they will put much more development into the 7"

Im guessing its because, it has a 1GZ compared to the tegra 2 tablets..

I just ordered my wifi Galaxy Tab from Amazon 2 days ago and I am sooooo HAPPY to read this news!!!!

I was gonna get the Asus Transformer mainly because it was only $50 more and had Honeycomb. But, as many of you may know, nobody has any of the Asus and they're backordered by about 1 million units.

I figured that maybe, just maybe, they would roll out the update by this time next year (if we were lucky) and I wouldn't have to deal with 2.2 on there for too long. I had no idea they would announce the update before I even got mine.

I wonder if they're gonna up the price on new ones that come out with Honeycomb already installed?

Were suppose to talk about honeycomb on tab, not gingerbread. I'll gladly take gingerbread on my tab , but I prefer a tablet os on my tablet. I want gingerbread on my epic 4g & honeycomb on my galaxy tab. So where does it say that the galaxy tab is getting honeycomb?

The Galaxy Tab will never get honeycomb. It doesnt have hardware acceleration nor the processing power of a dual core.

As for 2.3.3 Its already leaked and on XDA developers for GSM tabs. I was running it before I got a Xoom.

no they have it running WELL on the Nook. I think it actually runs better on the Nook than it did on the Xoom before it got 3.1

Very true. I'd be really surprised to see honeycomb on the tab. The gingerbread release was just announced. I'd love to see it but I'll believe it when I have it on my tab

Just put GB on my GT. Got directions off a site that told me how and used ODIN to do it. Was meant for GSM. I have the T-MO one. I installed it and OMG!!!! WI-FI hotspot!!!! Phone icon to make and receive calls!!!! So I can use this thing as a phone and tab!!! I am getting ready to return my BB Playbook!!!!! I put the sim card from my TMO BB Bold into the tab and VOILA!!! I can make and receive calls! Only thing is that no 3g icon..only EDGE. What to do...stick with this version for GSM or when the update gets rolled out for TMO, upgrade to that and loose phone icon...hmmmmm....
