Why is my battery draining extremely quickly?

A

AC Question

So I have this Galaxy Tab 4 that I bought early last year and I stopped using it because of battery issues. Fast forward to today and I decided to charge it. Once it hit 100% I unplugged it and I saw it said 98% when I looked at it. I walked to my desk and I see it dropped to 96%. I download an app and I go to the bathroom and it's at 83%. 4 minutes later it's at 54%. Within an hour it's dead. I'm losing power on it way to quickly.

I have already done a factory reset a couple times to try and fix it and nothing works. What should I do?

Re: Battery draining extremely quickly

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be defective. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).
