Sync S Health and Fitness With Gear?

I have an S4 and am having the same problems. S Health says it is paired with the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 Neo but refuses to sync with it. Says I have to update Gear Manager but I have the latest update

I have never been able to find S health in the either Samsung apps or Play store..

I've called Samsung 6 times and live chatted with them once. Not one time did they admit that s health simply won't work correctly with anything but the S5. It's been over a month and the Note 3 and S4 still can not be totally integrated like the S5 with S Health.

What we have here is a DIRTY marketing ploy to sell more S5s.

No it doesn't - the gear fitness app is a scaled down version of S Health and does not integrate with it. At this time, the only phone that seems to be able to sync with the Gear Fit and S Health is the S5 - I have been round and round with Samsung support on Facebook who don't have a clue what their own devices can do. I have a Note 3 - so I am stuck until they update S Health for my phone to version 3, which is what is on the Samsung S5.

Is there enough wrong doing and false advertisement for S4 and Note 3 users for a class action resolution?

Ok, I've been fighting with this thing for one month aproximately, this is what I found. My phone is Note 3 SM-900 KitKat and my watch is the Gear Fit (Awesome watch for the price, i did a review in my page (www.paramebola.com)

1. There's two main S Health apps from Samsung, the version that comes with s4 and note 3 and all of the "old equipment" (Like my note 3 would've been 10 years old, come on Samsung!!!) this is version 2.? (Whatever your phone have), and there another version that comes with the Galaxy S5 which is 3.? (They have like 10 versions now since launch, faulty I guess.

2. I have downloaded S Health and Health Service from galaxy S5 (XDA developers) and tried every single combination, I can tell you all "once" the phone synced the pedometer and then it all died, I discovered the phone looses all configuration on restart and it eats battery anywau.

3. You also loose all of the my fitness app syncing if you do this, by all means this messed up the Sleep function, which sometimes is helpful for me since I have trouble sleeping because i spend lots of time reading blogs. (hahahaha).

4. If you want to install the sleep function for the S Health 3.? version, then you have to download from samsung apps, but it won't recognize my note 3 as a compatible device for it, so once again, screwed.

5. Samsung won't give out any information, they just have a little note in the gear fit page that says something about compatibility in the future (I hope is not 2016).

If you want to try, aptoide has all of these apps available for you to download.

So, I will wait. If I know of any new version that works before Samsung decides that not only Galaxy s5 users are important (Note 4 is supposed to be released in September) then I'll let you know.

Samsung...... do you mind reading this?, do your users have to get into so much trouble to get things done?, why do you think people root their phones?......

Does the S Health app only show up in the Samsung app store if you have a S4 or Note 3? I have a Note 2 and have never been able to find S Health.

S Health updated today and now syncs with Fitness for Gear, but still does not populate anything in S Health that I can see. If you click on the right upper boot and sync icon in walking mate, it will take you directly to Fitness with Gear. Other than that, I don't see much interaction between the two. Anyone else?...

@kbboykin
Nope - got the updates today and it really does nothing except put a link on S Health to Fitness with Gear Fit - at the VERY LEAST they should have had the pedometer sync up from the Fit - but they couldn't even do that. Why even give us that "link" if nothing is going to be linked? Samsung is laughing at us now - The watch helps with motivation so I will keep it, but I am very sorry I bought it expecting so much more.

I see the same thing.

Almost 2 months later and still my Gear 2 still can't do squat with S Health. Where are all the fanboys telling me to be "patient"? LOL

Note 3 user. I believe that I have seen 2 updates to gear manager within the last 10 days or so. The first one was allowing fitness with gear to talk to s health and the pedometer was syncing between the two. Then I did the second gear manager update and the pedometer sync broke.

Anyone else see this?

Ey guys, just let you know, i've linked this thread in Samsung Support. Feel free to complain there, let's see if Samsung begin to care about their existing costumers...

You're wasting time posting here and wasting time posting on FB. Samsung isn't listening to you or anyone else on this forum. I've called into support and their own representatives claim they have NO idea there is a problem with S Health, Gear 2 or any of their phones. It's comical. They're working on the Gear 3 and 4 and won't bother supporting their existing products. You can throw your Gear 2 away and buy the Gear 3 when it is available in 3-4 months.
