Broken gear 2 watch strap

Hello, I have the Samsung gear 2 and on the watch strap at the end, there is a small piece of straight metal which can push down to release the watch from the strap. Any thoughts ?

That's to aid in removing the strap to replace it with another strap.

I think it's this. I have been to a watch repair shop and they couldn't fix it. I am just going to buy another strap
