One of the selling points of the Gear 2 was its ability to unlock my phone when I was close to it. Great security measure and it would allow me to use my phone without having to enter a password every time I picked it up. However, I was disappointed to find out that this feature can only be used if you utilize PATTERN LOCK as the means to lock your phone. Meaning that if I lost my phone somebody could use a pattern lock to unlock it. This is not an acceptable security measure for anyone but a kid. Please tell me there is a way to use the autolock feature and use the standard password lock on the phone. This is just another example of poor integration by Samsung. Don't they realize business-oriented people are a big segment of people that buy this watch?

Pebble locker appears to bridge the gap with an in app purchase. Allows you to set password as backup. It really would be nice is Samsung baked this in, and let us use the fingerprint scanner as a backup.
