will my gear fit still work if I disable s health?

I have never used s health. I guess it came pre-loaded on my phone but I have never even noticed it until recently when it started pestering me to sync it with my gear fit info. I'm really tempted to just disable it (I'll get prompts from it to sync several times a day) but I don;t want it to affect my gear fit
