Gear Live won't play music

So I just got the gear live. I'm still on the fence because part of the reason I got it was so I could play music without getting out my phone. But all it does is open the option to buy music I already have on the Play Store. It won't play the music at all. When I've tried doing it from my s5 or tab s it works just fine.

How are you starting music from your Gear Live?
There are a few ways of doing it...
You can simply say, "OK Google, play some music" and Play Music app opens on the your phone and begins a random shuffle of your songs. Or you can ask for a specific song, "play Rocket Man". or you can ask for a specific app, "OK Google, open Pandora or open Spotify" and those apps will open on the phone and begin playing.
