Thoughts?

Awesome. Standalone plus offline maps. Perfection as far as I'm concerned. Downloaded Texas ~250MB

I never understood why Google never supplied true offline maps. Guess they prefer your to stay online to data mine for their ads.

The only thing I would love is CoPilot. That would be an awesome GPS app. I'd say the GPS takes about 20 secs or so to lock on. Nokia is my friend.

Having moved back to Android from a Nokia Lumia 1520 in the past month I've had a lot of use from Here Maps. I always preferred Google Maps before but in the UK at least Here seems to be far more up to date. Also having the maps offline is a huge bonus. Are you using Here Beta on your phone too? I've been using it for Navigation in the car as it has a speedometer where Google Maps doesn't.

I have no thoughts on Here map on watch because currently it doesn't work without BT tethered to a phone! So, that's pretty much useless.

I still use my Nokia phone as my main smartphone. But one thing I found odd is that I can't log into Here Maps beta on Samsung phone using the Nokia account. I can log in on a PC browser or Win8 Here Map as well as WP8 Here map. Just not Here Android app. Do you have the same problem. I'd rather not create another account and move all my collections over.

I'm using the same log in details I used in my Lumia for Here Beta. Never had any issues
