A much improvement from the Gear 2, but some of my songs have the image, but most do not.

is that image from music you have on the Gear or from the phone? I have images from the songs I have saved on the Gear but I only see the songs from my phone when I am using Samsung's built-in Music Player. My music player of choice is Rocket Player and the images do not show when I use that. I don't know why that would be since the image is embedded in the music file.

Once again it appears, that to get the maximum benefit of this watch you have to use the Samsung app on the phone.

Hmm...that's strange. When I was using my Galaxy Gear and Gear 2, all the images showed up no problem; seems different for the Gear S, oh well.

The songs and the images come from my phone. I use the Samsung stock music player, and did a playlist music transfer from phone to watch.

Who knows. There's seems to be alot of ironing needed for the Gear S now that that fresh car smell has worn off.

It all depends on how the images were coded in the files.

presuming you were responding to my post, this does not explain why the images show when I use the Samsung Music app on the phone but do not show when I use Rocket Player on the phone. They are playing the same files.

No I was replying to the OP. And you're right I tried Poweramp and Slacker and it was a no go with the image. Something Wear does flawless. Hope is it's a bug that fixed.

And to answer your question guy posted about how to screen shot in the post your watch face thread. Hold down power button and swipe left or right. Tricky but will work. Took a couple to practice for it to work.

I have Poweramp, on my Samsung Galaxy S5, with lollipop 5.01 OS. Poweramp, will play my Google Play Music that's on my 64gb SD Card but it will not show Artist Name, Track Title or Album Art. Do you know how to correct this and if not can you point me to someone who can. I'm a Newbie to Android Central.

With the recent firmware update, I was hoping the album art can be displayed for each songs, but no luck. I can only see it when playing the song via Mobile Device, not via Gear. Same song; see pics. Any other ideas on why?
