Why aren't I getting preview of text messages on my Samsung Gear S Model SM-R750?

Samsung Gear S Model SM-R750 Test issue

Just replaced my old gear with a Samsung Gear S. Everything works fine except I am not getting previews of text messages. Emails works great. The texts do appear on my watch when I swipe right. I have tried resetting the watch and also deleting and downloading again Gear manager. Just bought it on Monday from Best Buy and Samsung are telling me that I have to send it in to get repaired. Anyone have any ideas ?
