Why don't my alarms set on my Gear S2 syncing with my Galaxy Note 5?

alarms set on gear s2 not syncing with galaxy note 5

everytime i set an alarm on the gear s2 it just vibrates on my wrist..when i check the note 5 clock app there are no alarms set...aren't they supposed to sync?

I've had every samsung Smart watch. If you set an alarm on the PHONE it will sync and both devices will sound or vibrate. If you set the alarm on the WATCH it only sounds/vibrates the watch. I think this is for when you are away from your phone.
