Why do my bluetooth earbuds keep disconnecting from Gear S2 Classic?

I thought it was the earbuds I was using, so I tried two others, and the same thing happened. They lose connection and I end up having to reconnect until finally they don't connect at all. I connected them to my Galaxy Note 5 and I had no issues. Can anyone tell me how to fix this. One of the reasons I bought the Gear was so I could listen to my music without having to carry around my phone.
