Will the Verizon Gear S3 offering have LTE or just Bluetooth? Or is there even going to be a Gear S3 offered at Verizon?

So far it's not looking good.

Verizon will get it. There's just a question of when. I'm impatiently waiting as well. There's been a Verizon wireless model number on their website and it's been stated in press releases that they'll carry. I do wish they would hurry up and announce it. It would be nice if they had some type of one number service for it.

Maybe they are playing it smart and only offering it when they actually have some to sell....

I am waiting on this watch as well... I have a friend that is a manager at Verizon who is actually waiting on the watch too says it is not in there upcoming devices in the system yet. I check in with him often and we grumble together!

I wish they would just say it's coming or not coming, so I know if I need to wait or just get the Bluetooth version

If you're that anxious, why not get the AT&T or T-Mobile version? While it's nice to be able to just add a line to your Verizon account, the LTE version from another carrier will still be better than the Bluetooth version.

Price. The difference between 5 and 15 a month is significant enough for me to continue waiting for the Verizon version.

Wouldn't it be wayyyy more than just the difference between $5 & $15? If you're not an exiting cust, i don't think either carrier will JUST let you add a watch (wearable) line of service WITHOUT a $40.00 a month plan ($30.00 for t-mo i think) ... I was impatient for t-mobile to get stock in and checked it out, and from all i read and a chat with a ATT person, she said price of watch or 2 yr plan, $40+15.00 +taxes just for the watch... She or me could've been confused, but i don't think i was...

But i am in COMPLETE agreement about waiting till you can get LTE version. I have it, and now could NOT imagine being without "standalone" feature & being tied to my phone in many instances i never thought i'd care about....

With AT&T it's the same as a phone. T-mobile will do a standalone wearable plan though. 15 a month if you use auto pay. I'm sure taxes would add a couple of bucks, but much cheaper than AT&T.

If you want LTE service, then it makes sense to wait until it's available on the carrier of your choice. But you were talking about buying the BT only version instead of waiting for Verizon. Rather than do that, you could buy the T-Mobile or AT&T version and use it as BT only, so there's no ongoing monthly cost. I know that T-Mobile will let you buy the watch with only one of month service. I tried to do this at an AT&T store but they refused. That may change once supply increases.

It's been almost 2 weeks since launch and Black Friday is over. Samsung production should be able to match demand, and Verizon should start carrying the S3 soon.

It was a different person that said they may go with a Bluetooth only version. I think I'd probably go with the t-mobile version if Verizon didn't get it, but I think they'll get it eventually. It still may be better to go with t-mobile now that I think about it. If Spotify streaming comes to it, I wouldn't have to worry about data usage, especially since there's only like a gb available on the watch.

Too bad there's not just one model that would work with all of the carriers. That would be ideal. I could switch if I found that I was using too much data.

I totally agree. I will hold out a bit longer for VZ LTE

What's the wait for, with Verizon? I swear they be blowing me with their BS. They always gotta be different. I really want this watch.

So I went to a Verizon store last weekend by my house and the guy I asked said that the last thing he heard was that the gear s3 won't be coming until at least January

I decided not to wait.. Went with bt /wifi for now, very happy. If vzw announces within my return and the price is acceptable, I'll think about it but otherwise it's a miss for now. Very happy without the SIM for now (battery life impact and my own use cases)

I'm considering going with the t-mobile version, especially since Verizon doesn't have a one number service anyway. I'll give it another week or so maybe.

I heard the same. Something about compatibility issues with the network.
