ok so i just got my moment yesterday and have done alot of searching and have not found an answer to my question.can the moment be rooted and if so how do you do it.i'm not a noob to hacking i had the touch pro the palm pre and they were both hacked but can't seem to find anything aout doing it to the moment and help would be greatly appreciated.

yes, the moment can be rooted.

there are a few websites out there that will give you step by step instructions. a lot of the development is done on sdx-developers.com and by zefie (who has since changed phones and will no longer be actively developing).

you can use the sprint tool to flash custom kernels that give you root access. try sdx.

SDX-Developers.com has the best tutorial on updating to 2.1 and rooting, both the 1.5 and 2.1 have been rooted there first.
