App won't start up

I am having an issue that I can't find an answer for anywhere. Samsung's chat and phone help couldn't help me. They advised me to "just keep trying." Well, they first suggested a factory reset but I am loathe to do that as I can't bear the thought of having to reset everything I had previously set up.

I initially set up my Samsung ID from the Samsung Pay app with no issue. But now the app will go no further than the start screen. It shows my ID and my options are only to replay the intro or press Start. If I press Start, I get a multicolored circle for a split second and then nothing. I remain on the same screen. We have dumped the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted several times, and nada. I have a Galaxy S6 with Android 5.1.1. on T-Mobile.

Has anyone seen this issue or maybe has a fix? Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't know what did it because I have turned on and off so many settings and rebooted and reinstalled so many times this afternoon (I also plugged it in to charge and who knows) but it finally worked. Phew.
