Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Perhaps, although I bet he is still around. I would wait on installing until you find out if it is EF27 based. As far as how to install, it should be as easy as running the batch script with the phone connected via USB and in debug mode. However the rooting process (KMS, aka KilingMeSoftly) is quite picky and works great sometimes, and not at all other times.

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Well somebody had mentioned on another thread that the file would root the phone as well as install the ROM, but them the EF27 came out and it seemed like nothing was working. It's not my phone so I am not overly familiar with it. It's my girlfriends phone. I have the EVO 3D and I know a bit more about that phone.

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Whoa, guys, don't freak out, it's not a scam. It actually is ED23 based, but if you flash over ef27 I believe ir should keep those files. If you're on cwm and would be willing to test, that would be great, because I don't have a replenish... sorry for the confu
sion, guys, been busy with traveling.

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
If you really want to do this, you should really put some install instructions up. Look at what some of the other guys do with their ROM pages and copy?

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
The install instructions are the same as the leaf rom. Connect phone, enable usb debugging, remove sd card and click on the batch file to execute and install to the phone. The phone should reboot with the new simple green rom. I have been using it for 4 days, and it works well. After all, it is based off of Shabby's leaf ROM. It worked the first time it attempted it. Refer to Shabby's ROM thread for more comprehensive set of instructions. At any rate, everything is working good for me. I am happy that the ef27 update alert has been corrected, the battery life is a little better, and the phone also runs faster. Overall, it is a good improvement for such a limited device.

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Does the phone need to be unlocked and rooted before doing this?
How do I install the ef27 update after I install this rom?
And I just don't think saying "Look for another Rom on this site and follow their instructions" makes this Rom look professional. Would be nice to have everything located on this page where the Rom is.
And he LeafRom instructions are spread out over 30 pages of links as they changed over time. That page does not even have a simple 1,2,3, install instruction guide on it.
I have the Evo 3D with CleanRom and the first page of the Rom has a step by step instruction list that gets updated as the Rom developed. So if you come late, you don't need to read through all the pages to get all the newest steps. - 12-01-2011, 10:54 PM #13
Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Hey thanks for updating the Leaf Rom I was also very frustrated after all of that waiting around for 0.3. I installed your rom today and a couple of things I noticed:
First my phone learned how to use 3g while roaming on my last rom (leaf 0.2) I could not get 3g while roaming and just assumed thats how it worked but now I have it.
Second I did a data reset like it suggested at the end of the install. Was i supposed to do this or was it just left over from the last installer?
Third the opera browser which is the only one included by default force closed every time I try to use it until I downloaded a manual update from the market - 12-01-2011, 11:57 PM #14
Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Seriously? All you people have installed this and none of you will put up a step by step for any noob who comes along and save them the time of reading through 30 pages of posts? If you look at my threads I have created TWO step by steps for people on things that I have done on here! A little help please? lol

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Sorry I can't think of a more step by step process than this:
1. Connect phone to computer via usb
2. enable usb debugging buy pulling down the top bar on the phone where it shows you are connected via usb
3. remove sd card from your phone
4. click on the batch (.bat) file that was in the .zip file you downloaded from the link to execute and install to the phone
I am 80% sure the anwser is no but my phone was rooted already so I can't say i've tested itDoes the phone need to be unlocked and rooted before doing this?
You can't install the ef27 update after instaling the rom, either update first or don't worry about itHow do I install the ef27 update after I install this rom?
A command window will pop up when you run the bat and will go throught the instalation process your phone should turn off and on a couple times.
Which of these steps are you having trouble understanding that I can try to walk you through?Last edited by zdog291; 12-02-2011 at 01:06 AM.

Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
Install instructions:
(Phone does NOT have to be rooted and CAN have the ef27 update)
1. Download this Rom to your PC
2. Download drivers (to connect phone to PC)
3. Enable USB debugging on phone: USB Debugging enabled in Settings/Applications/Development
4. Remove the SD card from the phone and plug phone into PC. (make sure the PC and phone connect)
5. Extract Rom on your PC and click on the Simple Green (.bat) file. (This will run a program on your PC that will install the Rom onto your phone. Follow the prompts on the program and wait. Phone will restart.)
(At this point my phone said it was out of space and was not working right. Not sure if you will have to do the next step but I did.)
6. Do a factory reset on your phone:
Remove Battery
Replace Battery
Press and hold the letter “U” on the keyboard and Press the Power button
When Samsung screen appears, release the “U” and Power button.
A system screen will load.
Press Volume Down and select ‘wipe data/factory reset’
Press Enter on the keyboard
Press Volume Down to select ‘Yes – delete all user’
Press Enter on the keyboard
Once complete press Enter on the keyboard to restart phone.
(This will return your phone to how it was when you first got it. Once you sign into your Google account on your phone all of your contacts will come back but you will need to re-install all apps and place all the widgets back on your home screens) - 12-13-2011, 05:17 PM #18
Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
enable usb debugging: settings\manage applications\developement
extract rom from zip to pc
If you have windows it should download drivers for your phone automatically
make sure sd card is removed
inside folder double click batch file
follow screen prompts
Done - assuming it truly is the same as leaf rom. I'm downloading simple green now. I hope the wifi hotspot works instead of the sprint registration error. - 12-13-2011, 06:40 PM #19
Re: [ROM] SimpleGreen 1
the hotspot never works for me. its cus they want you to pay an extra 30 dollars a month to enable it
