So yesterday, I decided to leave my leafrom behind, it had served me well so I wasn't too quick to jump ship to gingerbread...

All went well, thanks to everyone here I went back to ef23 using odin, then OTA updated to 27 then gingerbread.

All was well, but....

I missed having root, so I used the download from firehak to get root.

Something went wrong and now I am stuck in a boot loop, the phone boots up for 20 seconds or so and then reboots...

I can get the phone back into download mode without issues.

But if I try to go back to 23 i get stuck on the samsung screen and it goes no further...

Not sure if this is the issue but, the ops file seems to have changed this morning in both firehaks site and the gingerbread root thread.
They are both dated today.

Please help.

i had somewhat of the same problem,i pulled battery held u&power until recovery came up then i installed the phoenix zip rebooted and all is great

I was going to try that but could not connect to firehak, was just looking for root access, not phoenix... yet
well that worked not really what i was trying to do but i am back in business...
