I'm currently trying to port Cyanogenmod 7. I'm still very new to this, so it may take some time.

There are so many great custom ROMs for the LG Optimus S, which seems to have almost identical internal hardwar. I wonder if one of those ROMs would make a good starting point.

Id look more into cyanmobile its latest gb with sources intergrated from ics and jb, also released as opensource

Somebody can look into that and see if anything can be done like editing the scripts and maybe removing and adding apk files for replenish. Just a thought.

Cyanogeenmod 7 is good I've had it on my other phones I have but a completely new rom would be good.
