Forgot to get a screenshot, but this method worked for my Replenish as well!! It took me about 3 tries...the key was to run the batch file after rebooting my phone, just when the lock screen came up. The times I tried before that, I was getting errors because it wasn't able to create the directories it needed. Superuser and Busybox are now installed...time to get Netflix streaming working on my tiny screen!

Thanks to all who worked on this exploit! Now if someone can whip up a kernel and some custom ROMs...:p

need someone to do this

dd if=/dev/bml9 of=/sdcard/bml9.bin
dd if=/dev/bml10 of=/sdcard/bml10.bin

zip them and upload em for me please

I don't know that you can. I got as far as downloading the OLD version of the app, before I was, and it pulled up my Queues, but wouldn't start the movies. Now they apparently force the app to download a new version, which seems to have blocked the possible workaround for our phones to use the app. It might not have ever worked regardless...but I'm sure someone will crack it eventually so we can at least watch it while on a wifi network.

quick and easy root for the samsung replenish!

Rooted my Samsung Replenish on the second try. Just ran the script as the phone rebooted to get it to work. One small change for those of you using linux to root the phone. First, you obviously don't need to install the drivers the readme.txt refers to. And second, in the sh script, there is a call to adb.exe. Chang that to:
"sudo ./adb " and it should work for you.

So I am new to android - now that my phone is rooted, what can I do that I could not do before? I assume I can upgrade to a newer version of android at some point. True? what do I do with the custom ROMs that were posted by shabbypenguine?

The Samsung Moment has had developers working on it for a while, so it is much further along in the proces, with root, recovery, custom kernels and ROMs readily available. Do some searching or look in the Moment forums, and you should be able to find mountains of information on it.

So what can one do to. Help the custom rom process. I am an embeded firmware developer of 13 years so this stuff could be right up my alley. I just don't know where to start.

guys i would love custom roms and such. but when you do can you please make internal storage bigger you know like in the roms in the optimus. it always says im like out of memory so i would really appreciate that :)

Anyone know the difference between the version of the samsung code on this phone (ED23) and the next update released on their website (ED30)? I have compiled the kernel in ED30 and plan to replacr froyo with gingerbread but am new at this and don't know what else would need to be done to make this ready for the phone? Is there anyone who can walk me trhough the rom creation and installation process?
