No. This phone has both an updated version of Android as well as the latest Samsung bootloader. This effectively breaks all known root methods as of this typing, but I'm pretty sure a new universal root is right around the corner.

Today I tried Gingerbreak, psneuter, and rageagainstthecage without any success.

RageAgainstTheCage would run, but it wouldn't restart adbd at all. It would also cause the phone to become unresponsive and had to reboot to get adb and everything else working again.

Gingerbreak and psneuter just sat there and did nothing.

Unless someone can find a general 2.3.5 exploit, we'll have to root this through odin. That is my only guess at this point.
